Devonports LAS has been providing clients with a first class accountancy and business service since 1994.
Ian Hornsey began the practice with just three clients. Today we provide accountancy and taxation services to over 1,300 clients, and this continues to increase due to the various recommendations that we receive from both current clients and banks alike.
The majority of our clients are based in and around Southend on Sea, but we also provide a service to clients further afield, in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and of course in and around Saffron Walden, where our satellite office is based.
For many people, taxation matters can appear very daunting. Here at Devonports LAS, we believe that the vital key to providing a quality accountancy service is the working relationship between accountant and client. Our friendly and approachable team will assist you every step of the way.
On 1st January 2020, we merged with Knights & Co, an accountancy firm in Billericay. Gill Awcock, who founded Knights & Co, has over 30 years’ experience in practice and continues to be a consultant with Devonports LAS.
Susan Beattie has worked with Gill for over 20 years and became Director of Knights & Co early 2019. She continues to work at the Billericay office and is now part of the Devonports LAS family.
We are looking forward to working with all the existing Knights & Co clients and welcoming them to Devonports LAS.
